The 26th annual HORECA Lebanon was held from April 2-5, 2019, in Beirut. Over 16,000 visitors and 350 exhibitors were expected to descend upon Biel in order to showcase the best in hospitality in the Middle East. Many different kinds of businesses participated including hotels, restaurants, universities, catering companies, packaging and labeling suppliers, technology, tabletop, F&B, furnishing specialists, and other professional enterprises related to the sector.

Once again, the Sagesse Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management participated in the tradeshow with a booth in the main arena. In addition to the staff members who manned the booth, there were numerous students who spent their afternoon and evening talking with participants, learning more about the industry, interacting with vendors, and showing support for their university.

In addition, the Minister of Tourism, Mr. Avedis Guidanian, visited the SFTHM HORECA team, while Dr. Tanios Kassis, Dean of the Faculty, participated in a panel regarding the future of Lebanese talent in hospitality and how to retain them for long term success in local industries.
