On the occasion of Pink October, the students of the Faculty of Public Health (FPH), with the guidance of their dedicated heads of departments and coordinators, launched an "Empower, Educate, Eradicate” Initiative against breast cancer.

Université La Sagesse President, Prof. Georges Nehme, visited their informative Prevention and Awareness Booth, along with the Vice President for Research and Development, Dr. Etienne Harb, the Vice President for Public and Institutional Relations, Dr. Melhem El Kik and members of the University Council.  The Dean of the FPH, Dr. Diala El Khoury, underlined the importance of prevention and early detection in saving lives, with a survival rate of 99% as reported by the American Cancer Society.

Highlights of the day included:

- Prevention and Awareness Sessions presented by the Department of nursing sciences.

- Insights into Medical Imaging Techniques with clear explanation of the difference between mammography, scan, and MRI.

- Understanding the Role of Physiotherapy Post-Breast Cancer in restoring the upper body mobility and enhancing overall well-being.

Together, we are making a difference!
