Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition (2023 White & Case International Rounds)
After winning the National Rounds held in Lebanon, our students, Ninette El Zeitounieh and Flore Stello, from the Faculty of Law represented our country and Université La Sagesse among 150 other teams, selected from 700 law schools worldwide, in one of the largest Moot Court competitions, the “Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition” (2023 White & Case International Rounds), that took place in Washington D.C, in Hyatt Regency Hotel.
The opening ceremony was on the 8th of April and the rounds started the following day. The competition officially ended on the 15th of April.
Our students were given a fictional case dispute between several countries, which had to be solved before the International Court of Justice. The written pleadings were already submitted in January.
During the competition, the teams pleaded in front of different judges having years of experience in the field.
Throughout this oral competition, our students had the pleasure to be guided by professional lawyers from the Foley Hoag Law Firm, Me. Nour Nicolas and Me. Sudhanshu Roy.
This exclusive experience was very enriching and challenging, it really brought out the best in our law students.
Université La Sagesse is so proud of you!
