Overview
The mission of the Center for Teaching and Learning at Université La Sagesse is to foster an innovative, dynamic and inclusive learning environment, guided by a robust epistemological foundation.
The center is committed to enhancing the quality of teaching and educational standards, advancing knowledge construction, embracing diversity and leveraging innovative educational approaches. With a focus that extends beyond traditional teaching methods, the center aims to empower instructors with the necessary competences to adapt to evolving educational landscapes and excel in contemporary higher education.
Based on strong learning and teaching principles that value active learning and the co-construction of knowledge, the center strives to create an educational ecosystem that not only imparts information but cultivates critical thinking, problem-solving, and a passion for lifelong learning among students to optimize their learning experiences at La Sagesse.

| AUF – Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie | Université La Sagesse, is a francophone university and a member of AUF, that actively provides high-capacity development programs tailored for francophone educational institutions. Many of AUF programs focus on enhancing HEI’s pedagogical capacity and optimizing the teaching and learning experience to keep pace with advancements in education and beyond. |
| EDC – High Education Capacity Development Program under the auspices of USAID | Under the USAID Higher Education Capacity Development Program (HECD) auspices, EDC has partnered with Université La Sagesse and other Lebanese Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to enhance job readiness programs. This collaboration introduces innovative teaching and learning materials, including EDC’s Work Ready Now and Be Your Own Boss programs, focusing on enhancing students’ job readiness skills and capacity building for HEI career centers. An expected outcome will be HEI graduates equipped with skills that are relevant and in demand in today’s labor market. |
