The Faculty of Hospitality Management (SFHM) at Sagesse University was founded by Monseigneur Merhej, former President of the University, in coordination with the Chancellor, S.E. Monseigneur Paul Matar, who identified the need for quality education in hospitality and related services in Lebanon.  In order to satisfy this demand, Monseigneur Merhej contacted the Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne at the end of 2003.

On June 30, 2004, Sagesse University, as an independent entity, signed a collaboration agreement with Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne in order to develop the Faculty of Hospitality Management in Beirut, thus becoming one of the few sites worldwide possessing the coveted accreditation.  As a result, the SFHM has committed to conveying and transmitting all necessary knowledge and competencies for the realization of the faculty.

The head office of the Faculty of Hospitality Management is located in the heart of Achrafieh, Beirut, on Sagesse Street.  The premises meet the international standards of education in hospitality and offer the proper services and facilities for Lebanon and the Middle East, complying with the highest standards and recognizing the constant global evolution of the hospitality industry.
