Université La Sagesse signs an MoU with the Tribunal Patriarchale Latinum Primae Instantiae

The diploma, held at the Latin Patriarchal Vicariate of Jordan, will provide specialized training in canon law, marital dispute regulations, and legal procedures.
Professor Nehme acknowledged the significant support from Monsignor Boulos Abdul Sater, Maronite Archbishop of Beirut and Chancellor of Université La Sagesse, as well as His Beatitude Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, which were essential in facilitating this agreement. He highlighted their shared dedication to enhancing legal education for ecclesiastical lawyers in Jordan, made possible through the collaboration between the Faculty of Canon Law at Université La Sagesse and the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem.
Reaffirming the university’s dedication to academic excellence, Professor Nehme highlighted that this initiative reflects Université La Sagesse’s mission to provide legal training that improves the ecclesiastical legal system while serving the Church, the community, and families with professionalism and integrity.
Father Dr. Aktham Hijazin, President of the Tribunal Patriarchale Latinum Primae Instantiae – Amman, highlighted the importance of this collaboration in enhancing the legal expertise of ecclesiastical court professionals and ensuring a solid academic foundation for those handling cases within the Church.
Monsignor Dr. Nabih Mouawad, Dean of the Faculty of Canon Law at Université La Sagesse, noted that the faculty holds an accreditation from the Pontifical Oriental Institute in Rome and is dedicated to training clergy and legal professionals for key roles in ecclesiastical courts.
This collaboration reinforces Université La Sagesse’s mission to deliver quality legal education that serves the Church, the community, and society.
