"Public Speaking Contest" at Sagesse Business Faculty

The Language Department in the Faculty of Business Administration at Sagesse University held its 4th Annual Public Speaking Contest, entitled "Sagesse Talks", on Friday, May 12, at the Conference Room. Ten business students (5 from the French section and 5 from the English section) competed for the title of “Best Public Speaker”.  The winners were: Rami Baaklini (English) and Melissa El Issa (French) in first place; Ziad Ghosn (English) and Maroun Mousallem (French) in second place; and Ghewa Zeitouni (English) and Claire Hanna (French) in third place.  The jury was composed of the following three entrepreneurs from different fields: Mr. Sami Saab (Founder, CEO and Creative Director of Phenomena), Ms. Tanya Atallah (Founder, owner and instructor at FAPA), and Ms. Marie Christine Tayah (Founder, Editor-in-chief and Journalist at Feuilles Blanches).  The winners and participants in the competition received valuable prizes from the event sponsor, “Wheelax—Easy Car Service”.  The event was co-organized by the department coordinators, Dr. Zeina Dagher and Mr. Charbel Tadros, and animated by Sagesse business student and former news anchor at Future TV, Myckel Azar.  It was attended by several concerned faculty members (Dr. Pascale Chemaly, Dr. Maya Chaaya, Dr. Rudy Kazan, Ms. Alia Khatib, and Mr. Elie Abi Aad), staff (Mr. Marwan Chamoun, Mr. George Ghanem, and Ms. Nawal Adwan), as well as students, parents and guests.  The Dean of the Faculty Prof. Rock-Antoine Mehanna was represented by Dr. Dagher and Mr. Tadros.
